National Student Employment Week: April 14-18

NMU Logo on bricks

Career Services

The National Student Employment Association has declared that the second full week in April each year be set aside to recognize the value of student employees and student employment professionals.

Student Employees: We want to say thank you for all that student employees around campus to do positively impact campus, and help NMU be such a tremendous place to be every day! Small as it may be, Career Services would like to give the first 90 students who drop by our office (3302.3 C.B. Hedgcock) between Monday, April 14 and Friday, April 18 an NMU Willy bar (made by special request at Sayklly's chocolate shop). We also invite all student employees to register for a t-shirt giveaway!

Supervisors: The purpose of this week is to enhance awareness of student employment and its important role in the higher education experience, to recognize students who perform outstanding work while attending college, and to thank the employer, who hires students for part-time positions. Students gain tremendous benefits from their work experiences while in school, and the skills they develop help them achieve success after college and beyond. For that, we thank you! We hope you will join Career Services in recognizing and thanking NMU student employees for the hard work they provide on campus and in the community. For more information and ideas to thank student employees, visit https://nmu.edu/careerservices/national-student-employment-week-employers
