This year marks the 55th Annual Fall Semester Job Fair!  This is an opportunity for employers to share information about a wide range of career possibilities with NMU students (not just soon-to-be graduates). Employers are also welcome to recruit for full-time or part-time positions, internships, and summer staff.  There is no cost for students or alumni to attend this fair.  Remember to dress for success and have your resume ready!

Northern Waters Adventures was founded in 1991. Since then we've been providing expert guided kayak tours based out of Munising Michigan. The Huron Mountain Club is a private club on a contiguous tract of woodland located within the Huron Mountains region of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 30 miles northwest of the city of Marquette. The Club lands include unpaved roads to access a network of interior lakes and streams as well as trails to other points of interest. The Club provides its members and its employees the opportunity for various forms of healthful recreation including hiking, fishing, and hunting. Founded in 1889, the Club is sustained by the lasting ties of family, friendship, and the love of nature.”

Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp is located on a beautiful freshwater lake, surrounded by 140 acres of forest in Crystal Falls, Michigan— just 90 minutes from Marquette! Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp is an outdoor ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, providing youth summer camp, intergenerational camps, and camp for adults with developmental disabilities, as well as year-round events, rental groups, and retreats. Since its founding over 90 years ago, Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp has striven to be "a place of grace where all can grow in faith," welcoming all people, of all faiths, of all ages, in all seasons.

We hire about 30 enthusiastic summer staff each year, and are always looking for new additions to the team! We are currently hiring for a Media Coordinator, an Intergenerational Camp Coordinator, General Staff (Cabin Leaders), Maintenance Staff, and Kitchen Staff for the summer of 2023. Founded in 1934, Bay Cliff Health Camp is a nonprofit therapy and wellness center for children and adults with disabilities, located on the shores of Lake Superior in Big Bay, Michigan. Our priority program is a 7-week residential comprehensive summer therapy camp for children with physical disabilities. About 150 children ranging in age from 3 to 17 years are referred to Bay Cliff for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, instruction for the hearing and visually impaired, and music therapy.

Partridge Creek Farm is a small non-profit educational farm located in Ishpeming that focuses on equitable communities through local food systems. They offer a very diverse internship program with positions in growing food, media coordination, carpentry, education, and GIS mapping.  They are recruiting interns for the Summer AmeriCorps program.  If you're interested in learning more, please stop by Jamrich Hall.

Menards is hiring for their Manager Trainee position.  They will be holding open interviews (no need to schedule in advance) and will be answering any questions you may have about that position and careers with Menards. 

Our Manager Trainee position is a paid, full-time, hands-on training program designed to develop and prepare you for the world of Menards Management. As you progress through the Manager Trainee program, your General Management team, Department Managers, and Store Team Managers will work alongside you to develop your understanding of our business and help prepare you to take on a management role in the near future! Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to promote to any of our 330+ store locations, corporate office, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers.
