The U.S. Marine Corps will be on campus on Tuesday, October 25, from 11-2:00 p.m. in the Jamrich Hall 1100 Lobby area to offer information. The Marine Officer Program is an alternative to ROTC that sends competitively selected college students to Marine Corps Leadership training over the summer in Quantico, Virginia. The program is available every summer and opens to ALL classes and majors. Upon completing the summer training and graduation from NMU, the students earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in aviation, Logistics, Intelligence, Military Police, Engineering, Infantry, and 20+ more! The program is open to ANY class and major as long as they are a full-time student with a GPA over 2.0. The Marine Corps will train them to the officer specifications for whichever job they choose, including intelligence, logistics, aviation, engineering, public affairs, communications, and many more! Sun Country is a mid-size airline based in Minneapolis. It operates a fleet of approximately 50 Boeing 737 aircraft. They are interested in recruiting business students, preferably those with a finance emphasis, to join the company after graduation in 2023. They may also bring on a few interns next Summer.
They will be collecting hard copy resumes while there, and candidates can also send resumes to recruiting@suncountry.com. They’ll be bringing a brochure that also includes information about the company and its opportunities, along with how to apply.
