Classrooms at NMU have technology available in them, and these technologies vary by building and room. The new Jamrich building is teeming with technological resources, and support for these resources can be found within IDT's Technology Guide, especially their scrolling blog whose contents is available here. This page will provide a brief summation of available technologies. Assistance with these technologies can be received from IDT by phone at (906) 227-2290.
You should take care to clean your ThinkPad properly. Select a part of your computer to learn how to safely clean it.
Windows file names have two parts; the file's name, then a period followed by the extension (suffix). The extension is a three- or four-letter abbreviation that signifies the file type. For example, in letter.docx the filename is letter and the extension is docx. Extensions are important because they tell your computer what icon to use for the file, and what application can open the file. For example, the doc extension tells your computer that the file is a Microsoft Word file.
